Lattix Releases Lattix 3.1
Award-Winning Software Architecture Management Solution adds Support for Spring Framework and Web Publishing
BOSTON, MA–May 15, 2007– Lattix Inc., the leading provider of innovative software architecture management solutions, today announced the release of its newest solution, Lattix 3.1. With this release, Lattix enables managers, architects and developers to visualize the architecture of a complex enterprise software system, including those built on the popular Spring Framework, through interactive web-based reports.
Lattix has pioneered the Dependency Structure Matrix (DSM) approach, which uses dependencies to create an accurate and scaleable blueprint of complex, mission-critical software applications. With Lattix 3.1, it is possible to apply this approach for systems that span different domains, from the database to services and applications.
"Lattix now addresses the need for communicating the architecture of complex systems to the extended team via the Web with a variety of reports," explains Neeraj Sangal, president and founder of Lattix. "Also, our customers who use Spring Framework will now have the means to specify and test the architecture, detect violations during development and prevent erosion of their architecture."
Innovations in Lattix 3.1 include:
- Spring Framework Module
As part of our Lattix LDM for Java solution, Lattix 3.1 supports Spring Framework, the leading full-stack Java/JEE application framework. The new Spring Framework Module enables you to understand and manage the dependencies between beans, aliases and classes. Combined with the multi-module capability of Lattix 3.1, you can now understand the impact of change of Java classes on beans even if those Java classes are not directly used by an element of the Spring Framework. It is now possible to create an accurate blueprint of entire mission critical software systems that are built on Spring Framework with Java, Oracle and mapping technologies such as Hibernate. - Member Level Dependencies in C/C++
With the newest BSC and Doxygen modules, you can now analyze the relationships between the contents of your C/C++ files. This capability to explore dependencies at the member level between functions, variables, class methods, fields and macros significantly improves impact analysis and support for refactoring initiatives. - Web Based Publishing with Lattix LDC
Lattix LDC now provides php scripts so that you can easily publish architecture reports on each project build using Apache Web Server. Lattix LDC can be integrated with your builds to automatically publish web reports of changes, architectural violations, metrics and a variety of other data from a browser. Now it is easier than ever to communicate this critical information to the extended development team.
This is the DSM of Petstore, the popular Spring example
Lattix 3.1 is the most comprehensive architecture management solution, offering Java, C/C++, .NET, Oracle, Hibernate and LDI modules. Lattix 3.1 also provides support for full Web-based reporting of architectural metrics, violations and incremental changes.
Lattix 3.1 enables companies to improve and maintain quality, enhance testability, lower costs through more effective development, and manage risks by understanding the impact of proposed changes.
Price & Availability
Lattix 3.1 is available immediately in named-user and project licenses, starting at $495 USD for the Professional Edition. A free evaluation license is also available for download from www.lattix.com/dl/gettingstarted.php.
