Database Specific Issues

  • How do I create a project for Oracle?
  • Select the Oracle Module in the New Project Dialog and configure the database to be accessed. You can also configure the schemas that should be included/excluded. Lattix LDM creates an Oracle project by reading in the Oracle catalog or PL/SQL files.

  • What permissions are required to do an analysis of an Oracle database?
  • You need Select access to the Oracle catalog. The exact tables/views are listed in Module Guide for Oracle. Note that you do not need access to any actual data in the database.

  • How do I create a project for SQLServer or Sybase?
  • Select the SQL Module in the New Project Dialog and configure the database to be accessed. Lattix LDM creates an SQL project by reading in the SQL Server catalog or SQL files. Note that Lattix will not access the actual data in the database.
