Lattix Announces Partnership with IBM

Lattix and TechMatrix partner with IBM Japan to apply Lattix DSM technology to large legacy software systems

Boston, MA - March 26, 2009 - Lattix Inc., a leading provider of innovative software architecture management
solutions, today announced that IBM Japan chose Lattix LDM to assist IBM's consultants in the analysis of large legacy software systems. IBM consultants will use Lattix LDM to visualize and conduct advanced anaylsis of the structures and interdependencies of complex systems, such as legacy COBOL systems which include applications, forms, screens, and databases. Lattix LDM has been integrated with IBM's ARC tool to enable the Dependency Structure Matrix (DSM) approach to be applied with the data extracted by ARC. TechMatrix, the Lattix distributor for Japan, and IBM Japan are partnered to provide Lattix modules and licenses for use with ARC.

Lattix has pioneered an award-winning approach that utilizes system interdependencies to create an accurate blueprint of large, mission-critical
software systems. Lattix LDM utilizes a DSM for a highly compact and scaleable representation of the entire system. With the DSM approach, architects and developers can analyze their architecture in detail, edit the structure to create what-if scenarios and then specify design rules to formalize and communicate that architecture to the entire development organization.
