Lattix Announces the Release of Lattix 4.8

Award-winning software architecture management solution now available with a floating license manager

BOSTON, MA–December 17, 2008– Lattix Inc., the leading provider of innovative software architecture management solutions, today announced the release of its newest solution, Lattix 4.8. This solution includes a floating license manager to enable architects, developers, QA staff and managers to access powerful capabilities for visualizing, re-architecting, testing, and communicating the architecture of a complex software system at any stage of the development lifecycle.

"With the floating license server in Lattix 4.8, it easier for our customers to expand their use of Lattix throughout the development organization," explains Neeraj Sangal, president and founder of Lattix. "Now our customers can better leverage their investment in Lattix with improved access for a broader range of development activities."

In addition to the new floating license manager, Lattix 4.8 contains new features and enhancements to algorithms, tagging, filtering and exporting. Lattix 4.8 also contains additions to LDC, the Lattix command line utilities which integrate with a build system to
automatically update the selected project and report on changes and violations of the architecture. The new LDC diff utility streamlines the comparison of any projects.

Lattix has pioneered the Dependency Structure Matrix (DSM) approach which uses dependencies to create the most accurate and scalable blueprint of software applications, databases and systems. Architects and developers can analyze their systems in detail, edit the structure to create what-if scenarios, and specify design rules, allowing them to formalize and communicate the intended architecture to the entire organization.

About Lattix 4.8
The Lattix Architecture Management System provides the most comprehensive solution for systems that use Ada, C/C++, Java, .NET, and Pascal languages; Oracle, SQL Server, and Sybase databases;
Spring and Hibernate frameworks; and UML or SysML models. Lattix 4.8 also provides support for full web-based reporting of architectural metrics, violations, and incremental changes.

Lattix 4.8 enables companies to improve and maintain quality, enhance testability, lower costs through more effective
development, and manage risks by better understanding of the impact of proposed changes.

Availability

Lattix 4.8 is available immediately with modules for Ada, C/C++, Java (with Spring and Hibernate), .NET, Oracle, Pascal, SQL Server, Sybase, and UML/SysML. A free evaluation license is also available for download from http://www.lattix.com/dl/gettingstarted.php.
